A podcast is an audio (sometimes video) program or a talk show made available for download and listening over the internet. It could be about anything, like teaching or an episodic explanation of a particular topic, or a discussion of trendy issues. Podcasts are generally great for people who like listening and you can learn a lot from listening to podcasts. As a web designer, looking to learn and listen to experts in the game, here are the 10 best podcasts for web designers.
1. Layout:
First, on our list, today is no other podcast than “Layout”. The catchiest thing about this podcast is how the speakers dish out justice when treating topics. The two developers in charge of this podcast, Kevin Clarke and Rafael Condo, always try their best to simplify things they talk about, such that even novice designers could easily relate. And the bonus? They don’t just talk about web design, they also delve into topics like everyday work ethics, the latest happenings in the tech world, etc.
2. The Big Web Show:
The Big Web Show is an award-winning podcast that talks about varying topics; from content strategy to web publishing and a whole lot of other things. This podcast is hosted by Jeffery Zeldman.
3. The Design Better Podcast:
Next on our list is a podcast hosted by Aarron Walter and Eli Woolery; The Design Better Podcast. Perhaps you could say the most inciting thing about this podcast is the GUESTS. Aaron and Eli made it a natural routine to invite “big goons” from companies currently shaking the tech world to explain some concepts and also give pieces of advice on their platform. 5. ShopTalk:
Hosted by Chris Coyier and Dave Rupert, this podcast covers a range of topics related to web design and development, including the most basic languages CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. As a beginner trying to understand basic stuff and find a pathway in tech, this is a very good recommendation.
6. Google Design:
A podcast from a tech company, Google Designs is produced with the help of experts in different fields such as writing, graphics designing, and of course web development. It is consisted mainly of interviews and helpful tips, from experts and top officials at Google.

Developer Tea is a fantastic podcast. The host, Jonathan Cutrell, often covers broader topics that happen to be relevant to designers and developers alike. All the Developer Tea episodes are short and come out every few days. They are simplified and easy to understand.
